well, its a capital "MF", not a mu or a "u," but the captial mu is an "M," so maybe, but i have found online a 10MF 10V cap, made by sony only, but no picture to accompany it ever. i'll try to get a picture up, but MF doesn't seem to be a totally uncommon unit of capacitance, so it might be a mythical creature after all...but if i'm wrong, convince me because i've never dealt with one like that before and i would like it to not exist...things would just be easier that way.

MF is (or used to be) printed on some caps, but the M stood for the greek mu µ, meaning micro (one millionth). With the adoption of the metric system, M denotes mega or 10^6 (million), hence the fun.
There's a certain level of confusion in obtaining electronic parts. I almost think they cryptically label parts and use obscure color codes just to maintain an air of mystery, like a secret society.
