Hi Terry and Ross and other Pros
I forgot why Geoff Emerick and George Martin came out with these extreme stereo mixes now(you know the ones with all vocals on one side).Maybe Brian can jump in and refresh my memory. But my question to you guys is ...''What were your thought when you first heard those stereo mixes''!!!
I know as a young musician at that time they kinda blew my mind.I would ask myself why??Although they were very interesting to listen to they were much different from mixes coming from America..thanks

I keep wondering why they didn't fix Rubber Soul when they did the new mix in the 80's..

Seconded!
The stereo mixes were afterthoughts. I would love to have the monos.

The two are summed to mono for the proper UK versions, but Capitol in the US released them in "stereo" with the two tracks separated. They were never intended to be released that way.

Oh i see...
Pepper and the White albums were after what i'm talking bout.
But a funny story. My cousin was staying with me and he had the stereo version of Pepper and i only had the Mono.So i couldn't help myself.(he'll never know) i switched the two copies so i could have the stereo Pepper. That one sounded good in stereo .But now the mono version is worth some good cash

There's Japanese CDs of everything!
The Beatles has red letters instead of grey I think?
Fairly collectable; I think these releases are grey market or just plain boots. Never heard an actual one of these, and have only seen the White Album. I picked up a strange version of Abbey Road when I was in Japan last year, on the "craig" label. Different cover too (goof-ball "Fab Four" illustration), so I had to get it. I don't know if this is a re-press/clone of the Toshiba but it sounds better than the standard CD.

Apologies for bragging... I got Geoff Emerick to sign my mono Pepper a few weeks ago when he spoke here in NY. You can bet I'm going to treasure that thing for all days.

i wonder what the Mono Pepper is going for .I think it was 100$ 20 years ago.Wow if you could get Ring Paul and G.Martin to sign it that would really be nice. You should frame it up
