the raconteurs - http://www.theraconteurs.com/
...released "consoler" on march 25; would be my vote for
best album of the year (so far). mmmm. music.
like, they are playing music, not playing at making music.
can you feel that certain something?
oh, just checked their wiki page. they have toured with dylan.
yeah, the song writing is real strong, everything is strong.
tight. sharp. driving, and vibey as just about any
recordings i've ever heard. let me stop before
i go overboard with praise...
i wonder who mastered it so nice and loud?
(emphasis on nice, and it f'ing rocks.)
ok, i'm floored now.

anyone seeking some cloyingly saccharine, yet addictively infectious hooks of... bubblegum?
|
To borrow from Red Green -
The next time someone complains about how bad today's music is, just hum a few bars of 1910 Fruitgum Company's "Yummy Yummy Yummy I Got Love In My Tummy"...
|
I think "Yummy Yummy Yummy" is awesome

The Derek Trucks Band's latest album, Songlines.
This album sounds so beautiful. It is becoming one of my all time favorites. Better with every listen. Produced by Jay Joyce.
