oh, just checked their wiki page. they have toured with dylan.

yeah, the song writing is real strong, everything is strong.
tight. sharp. driving, and vibey as just about any
recordings i've ever heard. let me stop before
i go overboard with praise...

i wonder who mastered it so nice and loud?
(emphasis on nice, and it f'ing rocks.)

I cannot stop listening to the latest Sia album, Some People Have Real Problems. Her voice is amazing and interesting and it has this laid back soul vibe. Great songs.

Caribou their newer record Andorra is amazing. If you get a chance to see this band live get there! Don't really expect the album live though. Live they have a fairly different sound that works great.

Amidst this current resurgence in Motownish music (Jully Black, Amy Winehouse, et al), I was lucky enough to catch an appearance by Adele on CBC Radio 1 (here in Canada). A couple of the songs are great full band types, but the real gems are the simple guitar and voice tracks. Very nicely organically recorded, love her voice. Very refreshing, and hasn't been MTV'd to death. Yay!

This album sounds so beautiful. It is becoming one of my all time favorites. Better with every listen. Produced by Jay Joyce.
