Hi, I was reading about an a800 with a blinking stop light.... I have an 807 with a blinking stop light! If I lace up a tape, and hit play, the capstan simply doesnt spin, and then the tape kindof half unloads as if the machine cant tell there is tension. I suspect something to do with the capstan control is wrong.... as I'm sure it used to be that even if there was no tape loaded and you hit play, the capstan would spin. Now that doesnt happen. I'm going to venture inside the machine tomorrow, but wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction.... usual faults etc? I have the service manual, so I can find my way around the cards and stuff, but to be honest I dont really know what I'm looking for!
Thanks in advance for your help!
Matt
