Hi:
I have a pair of C28's and had a C60, all with CK28 caps. There wasn't much difference in the sound between the difference tube amp systems to my ear. I sold the C60 because I thought it was redundant. If I heard any difference I would write it off as output level, the C60 might have been a tad more noisy, not enough to care. I was never a fan of the CK28, but in desperation I used it on a picky sax player and he liked it, which was fortunate because I had run out of options. It sounded good on him, but he sounded great anyway. That being said, I use the CK1 and Blue (red) capsule screw-ons with great success on the C28's. I would think that's the strength of this mic, for a reasonable amount of money you'll get a lot of options.

Hi Blair, I confess I am a fan of C60, but regard it a mic for special use only, in my case steelpans. Mine has a CK28 capsule. The PSU is a B60(see the pic). I run it with an adapter(not origial L60) instead of a battery. Don`t know if the trafo is the same as in N60, but definitely not the same as in N60A. It works perfectly though, including the bass-rolloffs.
Haven`t done an A/B-comparison between C60 and M582 though, but thanks for reminding me. I really need to do that.
Often to my experience the capsule is the main contributor to the good properties of a mic, but in this case I strongly suspect, that the electronics(cathode follower) are as important in the combination too.
Regards,
Esa
