There have been several requests that the grille on the 6802 be silver, and not the gold that is shown.

At this moment, I can categorically state that I personally like gold on a microphone even more than I like pink on a mic pre.

We will look into this.

Sorry if this has been covered previously in this thread....and I do know that the search button is my friend, though it behaves nothing like one.

So,

Is there anywhere where one could read about the characteristics of the mics? I think some of the models were in the last GB, right? Could someone briefly describe the different models.

Something from another board

Hey Change, Tom et all UK buyers.

If there was one large shipment to the UK for all orders it would save all of us tons.

And here is how

We Dont use the normal carriers like Ups, Fedex, USPS.. we use a Freight Forwarder.

Chance, you are in Ontario CA right...
We i moved back home to London from LA a little over 2 years ago.

I shipped all of my personal effects through a freight forwarder. I can dig up their info if you like. the shipment took 4-6 weeks (dont remember exactly). it went by sea.

The total cost for the shipment, (and this is 5-6 cubic metres) was just about $2000 USD (about £1000 UKP) including insurance.... this included all of my recording and musical equipment (quite a lot)

So on an order of this size ( meaning the total of the UK part of the group buy) we could get the price way down.

I thing the price per cubic metre is like £300 USD.. Thats a lot of preamps and mics in a cubic metre.

I will have a dig through the records and should have the info by the end of the weekend.

Yes, Gold is an absolute "no-no" on a microphone.

We are trying hard to get the silver grilles.
