Regarding hipass filter the question is answered. Put another cap with values mentioned above parallel to the 1uF cap which is in series with the two input transformer windings - or even short the original cap. But this cap was not ment to be a broadcast filter. It is used to prevent the input transformer core from saturation.
The broadcast stations had their hipass filters in front of the transmitter poweramps. Hipass filtering in any instance before the transmitterstations was not intended.
The modules after the tube era had lowpass filters on board - well, some of them. (this can?t be generalized). Often the inhouse techs of these stations modified their units for their own purpose. But the tube era stuff had no lowpassfilters onboard - at least I don?t know of them.

I hung up a bunch 244's (getting more) and they look great and have made a noticeable difference when just standing there and talking.

At first this whole thread made me purple with rage.
But then, after reading one recent post, I went white.
Now I am just green with envy.

andy,
i use the shure E5 and ultimate ears 5pro. the E5s have great low end but they're universal fit. the 5pros are custom but lack low end. i should have gone for the ambient feature, but that's neither here nor there. both are dual-driver types. i use both for tracking but not for mixing. they need a very quiet amp to work properly. by quiet i mean a very high S/N and also an amp that doesn't get very loud, as these are extremely sensitive drivers. i have a firepod but it is far too noisy. surprisingly, the furman remote mixer (HRM-16) is quiet enough.
hope this helps.

that statement is idiotic (to me)
since the Kingdom is within.
if we are one with Spirit...(God)
and I AM
then going to the secret place of the Most High dwells within in the silence of our meditation is "within" always access-able
so within so without.
don't mean to get too much God into this thread but what you said did not ring True for me.
when i have a challenge i need all the help i can get which includes earthly doctors and the Master Physician
the point i was making is
imaging having to get my shoes on jam in the car rush to the hospital and face a doctor with a stoned demure.
dilated pupils, poor reaction, and adrenalin are a bad combo
not to mention sudden and unwanted guilt and shame

The point i wanted to make, although i was a bit vague, was the fact that: if you have parenting duties, don't smoke pot, or drink booze or anything else.
So, the war again ignorance and stupidity is aimed at those who would think the above is a good or OK idea.
The second i wished to make, once again loosely, is that: as within so without = as without so within.
"External spirits" have played a major part in the development of cultures and societies. Some positive, some negative.
Apologies again for my being vague.

Well, as long as we're off topic (i.e. drug usage, original topic was about drug laws), we can think about how many wives/girlfriends have been beaten by a man who was under influence of marijuana alone (illegal) vs. under influence of alcohol (legal), (if the two are combined, alcohol is the overwhelming factor). While we're at it, how many kids are beaten by stoned parents vs. drunk parents? Really, you don't have to think too hard about that one.
When they give the anti-marijuana propaganda stats about how many accidents caused by marijuana (illegal), they conveniently neglect to include the 'minor detail' that over 90% of those had also imbibed alcohol (legal). Right! the police find an empty bottle of gin and a roach on the floorboard; there ya go! another marijuana-caused accident!
I don't think anyone here is 'advocating' the use/abuse of these items, legal or not. The original post is concerned with the fairness and effective equability of the of the law.
The woman that is the topic of discussion did something at age 19 that is not much different in scope or magnitude than what most people here, and MANY in society have done at about that same age. We all went through that 'phase' and gradually left it behind, not because we all-of-a-sudden got such a great newfound 'respect' for the law (historically, draconian laws breed contempt, not respect), but because we personally had no use for it anymore.
Out of ALL the people that *could* have gotten caught, only a relatively small percentage actually did. And we call this 'reverse lottery' "fair"?, and call it "justice"? Marie Walsh (Susan Lefevre) was just one of the unlucky few. It could have happened to any of us.
Let's compare her life to ours. We went through a 'phase', then we proceeded to the next stage in life and became productive citizens, contributors to society. Any difference so far? She got busted, we didn't, that's the only difference.
--- / And she only led a productive life and contributed to society *because she escaped*. / ---
I somehow suspect that had she served the full ten years (MINIMUM, with good behavior) she might not have been capable of doing as much for society when she got out. If you know anyone who has done prison time, they are NOT the same person when they are released, and the change is not for the better.
A sentence of 10-20 years for a first time offender (the maximum sentence, hardly ever applied when pleading guilty, which she did), never been arrested for anything before or since, and she was not even the one who sold the drugs in the first place.
* Ten years *, minimum, for a non-violent, non-property crime.
And after all that, all somebody can say is "marijuana is bad 4 U" ??
Incredible.

I've NEVER seen anyone on marijuana become violent..
usually they become paranoid and want to be alone...
whereas drunks who commit violent crimes, including murder and rape are quite common..

I came up with "a" perfect channel strip... but it's definitley not "the" perfect channel strip [though it is damn good!!].
FWIW, I quite like the 8801... seriously useful box.
Peace.
