I'm suppose to get a mastering version in for evaluation and to do a review on it as well (soon I hope). I'm really looking forward to trying this puppy out.
Health, happiness and prosperity in the new year.
best,
Larry

Thanks Larry, looking forward to your review & if you think it's in the same league as the 432 & 9500 or whether it offers anything new to the table.

Laugh often.
Laugh at yourself.
A mans body starts to decay after 37.4 years of age and a woman's body after 36.7... now that just hurts doesn't it?

I don't think Samplitude addresses the wordclock synchronization. This is handled by the driver. Usually there is a checkbox in the software that comes with your soundcard.
For example, here is the Hammerfall dialog that comes up when I click on the applet in the system tray. Note the checkbox for word clock there.

I think that could be it. Selecting ASIO driver and then EXTERNAL for source doesn't work, since EXTERNAL is not one of the options. It is either 'internal' or 'settings'. So these probably are the settings of my hammerfall cards.
I am going to do some testing with this...

Check "External" in the RME config. menu and designate the source to WordClock.
That should do it.

Indeed it does
I've been testing the system this way and everything seems to work just fine...

Seems like they're at least not accepting potentially morally questionable music. Maybe there's some nobility in that.
