Hi,
I have what I believe is a 1st edition Mini-Brute III bass amp (velvet cloth - 15" speaker). The power amp section smokes... It literally makes the LM391N-100 explode into flames when powering up... The preamp section is fine. I have tested all transistors with my tester and they're fine... I have replaced all the electrolytics, bar the main filter pair.
I cannot find a schematic anywhere online. One firm claim to have it, but there are many versions of Mini-Brute and this firm wants $20 USD (if it's the wrong one, it's money down the pan - not to mention that firms who charge for schematics are on morally-dodgy ground when you consider they didn't design the effing thing!).
I could trace out the power amp, but it will be time-consuming and - from what I can gather - a working amp is only worth about $300 USD max, so it's hardly worth spending all the time on.
If I can't get a schem, I may well just disconnect the amp and put it on Ebay as a "bass cab" with a £1 starter price.
Many thanks in advance,
Justin

hello,
i'm looking for the schematics of a Siemens Sitral C3 console (10 mono 10 stereo 8 buss).
i have been looking around for a while now with no results.
the mixer needs a little work and i am not capable of figuring out the whole thing by myself.
any help would be greatly apreciated.
someone told me the siemens company kept some "microfilm" of all their product with the schematics, any idea where i could find them ?
does anyone know what happened to the WSW company in austria ?
does anyone have a contact number or email ?
thank you for your help

Hi all,
Voltage problem with JH-50 cards.
Motherboards - (3) for faders (16channel each) plus 1 Master
2 of the fader boards are putting out the wrong control voltage to the fader packs.
When fader is down, the voltage reads -11 volts, when fader is full up it should read 0 volts, but instead the 2 faulty boards are reading about -5 volts, and therefore the sound out of those channels is very low...
I looked at the motherboards, noted all the chips and thinking about a total rebuild.
But in the meantime is there any 1 or 2 chips in particular that I could change to get this working right away?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Mario

I've been all over the web and haven't found the answer to this, so maybe someone here can help me out.
I have a Metcal PS2E-01 and I understand that the current OKI tips will work, but I can't figure out a part number.
Thanks in advance!
Max

Hi!
I'm looking for info on the Westrex 1594RA tube compressors.
Google is not helping...
A friend of mine has a pair and wants to sell them, along with a lot of other stuff from that era.
I'd appreciate pointers for the info.
regards,
YZ

As there is this movement to Blu-ray disc, how will/has this impact the audio production. We have software for the current DVD-A work we do (which is very little), but what lies ahead?
What is currently available?
